| 01 | Yvetot
| D131
| Yvetot is a reasonably large city and can be accessed from several areas and entrances.
You can arrive here via the A28/A29 from Calais or Le Havre, or the D131 coming from Rouen or Paris (A13 autoroute).
In all cases, when you're in the city itself, follow the signs "Gare SNCF" (railroads) which is located on the D131. Take the D131 towards Cany-Barville. |
| 02 |
 | D131 | After leaving Yvetot, after about 10 kilometers, along the way, you will pass through Hericourt-en-Caux. This is where the valley starts.
When exiting the town, you will see on your right a small "cave". This is a natural water spring, and you can fill up with water here (ignore the government signs about the water, it's very safe).

|
| 03 | Along the Durdent river
| D131 | There are several watermills. Sometimes the river moves inland, but if you look you'll see other watermills alongside the river.

|
| 04 | Oherville
| D131 | DETOUR: When you enter Oherville, you will see at the main crossing a sign for the Chateau de Auffy.
This is a slight detour (about 5 minutes ride).

|
| 05 | Le Hanouard
| D131
 | FOOD: Just when you enter "Le Hanouard", you will see a pretty restaurant (Le Champetre) on your left alongside the river.
Depending on the time of day, it's a good place to stop and eat.

|
| 06 | Grainville-la-Teinturiere
 | D268 | After you have passed through Grainville-La-Teinturiere, after some 5 kilometers, the road splits. Take the right turn towards Cany (D268)

|
| 07 | Cany-Castle
| D268 | You will pass on your left the Chateau de Cany-Barville.

|
| 08 | Cany-Barville
 | D268 | When you enter Cany-Barville, you will need to continue straight on at the traffic lights.
DETOUR: You can turn left at the traffic light, on to the main street for some sightseeing or shopping (see Cany link). If you're passing through on a Monday morning, be sure to stop and see the open air market. |
| 09 | Towards Vittefleur/Paluel
| D10 | Continue from Cany-Barville towards Vittefleur and Paluel on the D10

|
| 10 | After Paluel sharp right on D68
 | D68 | Past Paluel, go on to the D-68 which takes a sharp right and starts climbing upwards.
This is a nice twisting road.
CAUTION: Caravans and bigger mobile homes will have a problem with the sharp turns.

|
| 11 | After the climb
 | D68 | After the hill climb, just after the first road crossing you will notice a very beautiful castle on your left (GPS: N49 49.953 E0 38.336).
The castle is in hands of a private person. We rarely see anyone in it, but the grounds are always very well kept.

|
| 12 | Airstrip
| D68 | Right after the castle, about 1 kilometer is a small airstrip. The runway is on your right, and the airport and hangars are on your left. Which means that airplanes will be crossing the road.
CAUTION: Airplanes have the right of way.

|
| 13 | Keep going straight on D68
| D68 | Continue on the D68. Along the way you'll see another castle on your left.

|
| 14 | At the next junction take left on to D925
 | D925 | Continue until you reach the T-Junction and take a left towards St. Valery-en-Caux

|
| 15 | Continue on D925, and go straight at next roundabout
 | D925 | You're about to enter St. Valery.

|
| 16 | St.Valery-en-Caux
| D925
 | You have now reached St. Valery.
The GPS will bring you to the official center of St. Valery, but when you see the harbor, turn left past the Hotel and go over the bridge towards the beach area and city center.
See the St. Valery page to see what you can do here.
FOOD: Alongside the end of the beach road there's a casino with a good restaurant and fantastic view.
