Known as the 21st district of Paris (most Parisians come here for the summer), the city is indeed very beautiful. In sharp contrast with the beaches of Upper Normandy, here they are white sands and very big.
Deauville has one very large casino, 2 horse race tracks, 1 large conference center and a spa on the beach. Deauville is also very they hold the annual prestigious Film Festival of Deauville..
The house are all very well maintained, and all new apartment buildings are built in the Normandy style, making the environment very homogeneous.
There is a lot of money here. Do not be surprised to see famous people walking the streets (French and foreign). Many stars have a house here.
Deauville is often mentioned in conjunction with its neighboring town, Trouville-sur-Mer.
