This majestic palace was built in 1822 to house the Benedictine monks and their "magic" liquor.
The production of this drink (designed in 1510 by a Ventian monk visiting the Fecamp monastary) started here, and today, it is still made here.
The palace is now a working museum. You can still them making the drink, while understanding more how it is made.
At the end of the tour, a free sample is given of the Benedictine liqueur. |
